Can social compliance convince a person to commit murder? Now, that is today's question, and Derren Brown is the man who's got the answer for us. In this great movie we are checking out how social compliance can make us do just about anything without even being aware of the fact that we're actually doing it. It's kind of a funny way that brain of ours is working, and Derren Brown is without doubt one of the best at making us understand quite a lot more about it.

By some people social compliance is being used many times. Did you ever consider how you're being fooled like an idiot almost every day? Some techniques that's known, could be the part where a car salesman is selling you a car. As the talk goes on and you feel that you're getting the price down, your brain is actually being tricked. Your brain is getting some kind of idea that you have done something good for yourself, and with the contract on the table (and the salesman all the sudden raises the price) you feel a mental agreement to still get the car. Guess that's why car salesman loves people coming alone to their shops. Would be quite a lot harder to perform something like this if you have someone with you that actually has a say in the buying-part of the car. It's almost a bit like going to the computer-store getting a new computer, do NOT do that, unless you have someone with you that actually knows computers. That dude selling them can not be trusted. Sad? Yes. True? Yes. Smiley little angry. Guess it's just the way it is.

There's many ways to trick that brain up there in the top floor, but anyways, in this movie we are talking about if it's even possible to make someone commit murder if the situation is extreme enough. Check it out, and do absolutely not try this at home. Smiley little happy
